OANA members stress using mobile phone in broadcasting

SEOUL, Nov. 17 (MNA) – Member news agencies provided their own reports during the afternoon session of the first day of 39th OANA Technical and Executive Committee Meeting in Seoul.

OANA Technical and Executive Committee members provided reports which focused on mobile phone and its application in news agencies as well as the challenges and opportunities news agencies face, during the first day of meeting. In this regard, they emphasized the influence and importance of using mobile phones in providing the audience with faster and more penetrating information.

After reporting the performance of news agencies, officials of TASS Russian News Agency, as the current president of OANA, provided the latest financial report of the organization.

Following the meeting, the members voted for and adopted the decisions presented during the previous meeting, including membership of Russian Sputnik International Multimedia News Service and cooperation of OANA with Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA).

OANA voted affirmative for Bahrain News Agency, as the current head of FANA, to host the 40th Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) Executive Board Meeting in mid-2016.
